Hail a cab during rush hour. It is like a major no when you are in such a big city. Taking a cab might be faster alternative to arrive faster in your destination. However, it is like asking yourself for trouble if you do it during rush hour because you won’t get the cab so easily. Also, you will only get stuck in the bad traffic. It might be faster for you to walk instead. Taking public transportation can be a better alternative you can do to get faster to your destination.
Stop in the middle of the sidewalks. People are usually having fast-paced when walking. They are trying to get to work or their destination on time. If you just stop abruptly in the middle of the sidewalk, other people behind you might bump into you, it can cause domino effect if the sidewalk is fully packed with people. Hence, simply treat the sidewalk like streets. Be mindful when you need to stop or pause. Pull over to the side if you need to stop or check your phone so you won’t be in a way of other people.
Wearing uncomfortable shoes. The best way to explore a big city is by foot. However, it can be such a hellish experience if you are wearing uncomfortable shoes. You might get blister or any foot pain. Hence, always opt for comfortable shoes that can support your foot just fine. There are even shoes that still look stylish without omitting the factors that bring comfort and protection to your foot.
Push your way into public transportation. It is not a good travel etiquette regardless if you are in major city or not. It is always safe to let the passengers exit first. You can wait and stand on the side of the door until everyone who needs to exits can get off. Then, you can get on safely. Always practice good travel etiquette in public transportation.
Feeds the pigeons. It might look cute and fun. However, it brings disadvantages to the bird and human side. The birds will get used to feed from human and the foods are not even their natural diet which can cause them problems. Also, pigeons carry diseases that can actually infect humans. Not to mention that the leftover foods can attract rats.
